Hi, I’m Kathryn.

I am a fine art photographer, specializing in avian portraiture, with a secondary focus on wildlife still life and portraiture. My photographic work explores moments of quiet presence in the natural world, emphasizing intimacy, stillness, and the emotional resonance of an encounter.

Raised by a fine artist and an avid hiker, I was taught early to observe, remain present, and to appreciate the beauty of our natural world. This foundation shaped a practice rooted in patience, attentiveness, and visual storytelling that I carry through with all my work.

Alongside my photographic work, I also own a graphic and web design business called “The Literary Bear”; aside from consulting services, “The Literary Bear” includes my original illustrations on my custom designed stationery. You may view my original illustrated stationery designs at my online retail shop or through my wholesale shop.

I hold a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS), a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and professional certifications in graphic design and software development.
